ASEAN SLEEP CONGRESS 2015: Challenges in Sleep Medicine
Dear friends and colleagues
Sleep disorders and sleep medicine have evolved over the years from its humble beginning of being unrecognised and to its current state where its’ importance is recognised by many specialties to have a huge impact on the individuals, and to the economy and society at large. The specialty of Sleep Medicine has grown globally and even in ASEAN, the number of Sleep Medicine-trained specialists has increased over the years. The quest for knowledge and the search for best practices are not stagnant affairs as Medicine, especially Sleep Medicine, is constantly evolving and advancing. With increase in knowledge and basing our practice in evidence-based medicine, we aimed to improve our patients live and bring state-of-art care to our patients. It is in that spirit of that we bring the 3rd ASEAN SLEEP CONGRESS to you. Singapore has the honour of organising the 3rd ASEAN SLEEP CONGRESS. This congress will bring together the experts in Sleep Medicine from international and ASEAN region and will cover a wide aspect of Sleep Medicine, including challenges we are facing and challenges ahead. Our Adult and Paediatric Sleep Medicine program will cover the basics in Sleep Medicine and explore the current challenges in each area. Our program also includes hands-on CPAP workshop. Our Sleep Scientists will also share some of the newest findings in the area of sleep research. This congress is also held in conjunction with the 4th Snoring and Sleep Apnea Surgery Course . We would like to welcome you and extend our warmest invitation to join us in this educational congress, which will be held at the Singapore General Hospital Academia, a purpose-built educational facility in the Singapore General Hospital Outram Campus.
